Decarbonising our cities: All-Energy holds clues

Once again, All-Energy the UK’s largest renewable and low carbon energy exhibition and conference, plays home to a day-long conference track on sustainable and smart cities, and the steps being taken to decarbonise them. This track, taking place on 2 May is sponsored by Shepherd and Wedderburn All-Energy’s Headline Sponsor. The following day, there is a day-long Quick Fire Seminar Theatre programme dedicated exclusively to energy efficiency. There’s also a networking event especially for local government officials. UK Roofing Awards finalists announced at Ecobuild

The finalists for the 2018 UK Roofing Awards have been announced. Beautiful structures, outstanding workmanship, superior problem solving, environmental qualities and contribution to the built environment have all been highlighted in the shortlist, released by NFRC (National Federation of Roofing Contractors) at this year’s ecobuild event.

The awards scheme, which is in its 12th consecutive year, is the most prestigious in the roofing sector and celebrates the very best in the industry across 14 categories.

Ecobuild show attendees also had the opportunity to cast their vote for the Industry Choice Award (sponsored by Radmat Building Products Ltd).

UNTHA set to reveal new shredding innovations at IFAT 2018

As a major player in the shredding technology industry, UNTHA is set to show IFAT trade visitors the solutions that can reliably and economically transform waste into valuable resources. The event will be held from May 14 to May 18, 2018 in Munich.

Ongoing engineering developments have been taking place behind the scenes at UNTHA’s Austrian headquarters, which means the IFAT stand 127/226 (hall B6) will play host to the latest generation XR series waste shredder, this May. Designed to process different materials such as waste wood, commercial waste, bulk refuse, industrial waste or pulper ropes, the latest iteration of this technology will perform even more successfully than its predecessors.

RSPH Cryptosporidiosis Conference

ALS Environmental would like to announce that they will be attending the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) Event on the 15th March 2018 at Portland Place in London.The title of this conference is 'Cryptosporidiosis: an essential update on the risks from recreational, drinking waters & food'. The RSPH and and the Cryptosporidium Reference Unit, Public Health Wales, will be providing background and new information on Cryptosporidiosis outbreaks. Also included is the ongoing research in recreational waters, drinking waters and food.

Driving innovation in water & waste analysis methods event 2018
