Wales passes legislation on 70 per cent recycling target
Wales is set to become the first country in the UK to introduce statutory recycling targets for local authorities.
The National Assembly for Wales passed legislation today [2 November] which introduces legally–binding targets for the amount of municipal waste councils recycle or compost from 2012-2013, with a 2024-2025 target of 70 per cent.
