Householders in Wales are to learn whether their councils send recycling overseas. From this month local authorities will be able to record every destination for their recycling, rather than just one destination as was the case in the past.

Regional governments are key to winning the fight against climate change, says Environment Minister
Environment Minister, Jane Davidson is in Luxembourg this week to champion the role that regional governments have to play in tackling Climate Change.
The Minister is attending the EU Environment Council in Luxembourg which will focus on protecting biodiversity and consider the best way of ensuring that the EU goes beyond a 20% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. The Council will also agree the EU position ahead of the December climate change summit in Cancun.
Help raise the roof at Pickering station
One of Britain’s finest tourist attractions is calling on the public’s generosity to help it recreate another piece of history.
It will follow the same design as that of 1847, when York-based architect GT Andrews created a structure that became known as the ‘Euston truss.’ It was a notable feature at that time as it was based on a design used by Robert Stephenson in the original London & Birmingham Euston terminus.
