Dame Ellen MacArthur joined Euan Sutherland, CEO of B&Q, Ian Cheshire, CEO of Kingfisher and Greg Barker MP, Minister of State for Energy and Climate Change for an evening at the Houses of Parliament to learn how the retailer is helping communities and individuals across the country re-design and create more sustainable living environments.  B&Q is working to support the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s aim of inspiring young people to re-think, re-design and build a sustainable future. Wales passes legislation on 70 per cent recycling target

Wales is set to become the first country in the UK to introduce statutory recycling targets for local authorities.
The National Assembly for Wales passed legislation today [2 November] which introduces legally–binding targets for the amount of municipal waste councils recycle or compost from 2012-2013, with a 2024-2025 target of 70 per cent.
