RWM 2012, Europe’s most comprehensive range of resource and waste management products and solutions will be taking place at Birmingham’s NEC from 11th to the 13th September.
One of the exhibitors there will be QSP Ltd. QSP Ltd (QSP) is an organisation specialising in providing Waste Management and Health & Safety training to all sectors in industry. We are also able to provide specialist consultancy services for waste and environmental services as required.
The Company is a registered Assessment Centre with the Waste Management Industry Training and Advisory Board (WAMITAB) providing national coverage for the statutory Operator Competence Schemes which can lead to the Certificate of Technical Competence for landfill, transfer, treatment, anaerobic digestion and recycling facilities. Training, support and assessment is also provided for non-statutory awards in sustainable waste, recycling activities and street cleansing. Thus enabling companies to up-skill their work force and give recognition to their staff for the skills they have in positions such as: Refuse Drivers and Collectors, Recycling Operatives, Weighbridge Operators, Street Cleansers plus all other roles within the industry.
QSP are at the forefront in promoting the Continuing Competence scheme to holders of CoTCs or Operator Competence Certificates to ensure they meet their legal obligations by maintaining their CPD by providing training and testing facilities.
QSP is an active member of various consortiums within FE Colleges around the UK which has allowed the Company access to funds from the Skills Funding Agency whereby allowing us to delivery funded and partially funded qualifications and apprenticeships within our sector.
The strength of the Company lies in the experience of the 3 Directors - Dave Quince, Steve Shirley and Steve Pearce, along with over 50 associates, most of whom have been senior managers in the waste industry and who bring their direct expertise to training and assessment programmes.
QSP is also a registered training provider with City & Guilds. This allows delivery of NVQ assessments for health and safety based qualifications. Completion of these qualifications allows individuals the opportunity to progress to become a Corporate IOSH Member.
As an approved training provider with the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the primary institution for health and safety in the UK, we are also able to do deliver the 4–day Managing Safely course and Working Safely course.
The Company is able to provide bespoke courses including Duty of Care, ASBESTOS Awareness and Reversing Assistants designed to focus on the clients own needs.
