AQE 2015 to focus on ways to improve air quality and emissions monitoring

altThe organisers of AQE 2015, the international Air Quality and Emissions show, have announced a comprehensive programme of events that will take place in Telford, UK, on 22nd and 23rd April. Created to provide an update on the latest regulations, technologies, methods and research in air quality and emissions monitoring, AQE 2015 will take place at a time when concern with air pollution and climate change has never been greater.

Organiser Marcus Pattison says: “At the last AQE show we introduced ambient air quality as a major theme for the event, and this dramatically increased the number of organisations and attendees that took time to participate, and registrations are already running at higher levels than ever before, so we are looking forward to an exciting two days!


Roofing pavilion returns to Ecobuild

The National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) will be returning to Ecobuild from 3rd – 5th March to host the Roofing Pavilion for the second year running.

Following the success of last year, the Pavilion has increased in size and will feature more of its Supplier Members (Manufacturers, Merchants and Service Providers). It will be supported by 22 companies surrounding an NFRC networking lounge.

Attending Ecobuild has become the ideal opportunity for specifiers, main contractors and alike, to speak to the most influential UK roofing trade association and its members face-to-face in one location. Head to N5031 to find the NFRC lounge.

The organisers of AQE 2015, the international Air Quality and Emissions show,have announced a comprehensive conference programmefor the event which will take place in Telford, UK, on 22nd and 23rd April.

Organiser Marcus Pattison says: “The event could not have been better timed. Just before Christmas, the UK Government issued a consultation that, if adopted, could result in a dramatic reduction in ambient air quality monitoring, and this is causing uproar in the sector.


ALS to attend WMSoc event on water safety plans

The Water Management Society (WMSoc) will be holding a conference in Central London on Thursday 11th December 2014 at the Royal College of Surgeons. The event will focus on "Water Safety Plans, What Do They Mean To Me?" and ALS Environmental will continue our support of the WMSoc by exhibiting at the event.


European soil scientists unite to tackle threats to soil

The world’s soils face a wide range of threats that could undermine the very basis to our current way of life. Recently Europe has seen flooding that dramatically and tragically demonstrates how such threats can impact on people’s lives and property. Poor management of soils can exacerbate flooding and other soil threats.

In recognition of the pressing importance of threats to soils the United Nations has designated 2015 as the ‘International Year of Soils’ to bring to public attention the wide variety of threats to soil and the consequences that these can have on all of our lives. This year is being launched on World Soil Day on the 5th of December 2014.
