ALS Environmental are delighted to announce that their extension to scope has been granted for Pseudomonas aeruginosa and TVC in endoscopy and dialysis waters. They have satisfactorily submitted their request to UKAS and can now confirm that they have accreditation for these tests in this matrix type. Endoscopy and dialysis waters are considered to be part of their recently defined 'Ultra-Pure waters' matrix.

Following on from the HSG 274 guidance about Legionella, the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) have issued a technical bulletin regarding the reporting of all Legionella results. To help their customers comply with industry standard, ALS have taken the necessary steps to ensure their processes are in line with this standard in order to provide you, the customer, with accurate and reliable data.
ALS Environmental are pleased to inform customers that, following an extensive validation process, they are now able to offer UKAS ISO 17025:2005 accredited results for Process and Recreational Waters. The scope of the accreditation covers analysis for Total coliforms, E. coli, Clostridium perfringens, Enterococci and TVCs. In addition to this they are also able to offer analysis on Pure water for Pseudomonas aeruginosa, again under the UKAS ISO 17025:2005 accreditation. This accreditation allows for a wider scope of analysis with a greater proportion of analysis being spread across both the Wakefield and Coventry laboratories.
