AN green project is giving people the chance to get involved in their environment.
The Wild Green Spaces in Hartlepool project, which aims to involve local people in work to develop and improve the town’s parks and Local Nature Reserves (LNRs), is operating a Wild Wednesdays scheme.

Nine electric cars will be eligible for subsidies

Details have been released of the first nine electric cars that will be eligible for grants of up to £5,000 in a government subsidy scheme. Under the £43m initiative that starts on 1 January, buyers will get a 25% discount up to the maximum £5,000.

The Environmental Industries Commission has welcomed Chris Huhne’s comments on the protection of environmental regulations from the red tape challenge. To remove environmental regulations would be bad for the green economy and bad for the environment. Chris Huhne is right to challenge the Governments threat to scrapping environmental protection.
