The public will have its say on special planning guidance for a unique energy energy destination to the north of Aberdeen as consultation into new draft documents is launched.
Planning guidance has now been published for all proposed development within Energetica – a new energy community stretching north from the Bridge of Don to Peterhead and west to the airport.
Energetica Placemaking Supplementary Guidance was unveiled in May by ACSEF (Aberdeen City and Shire Economic Future) and, after being reported to the Enterprise, Planning and Infrastructure Committee at Aberdeen City Council and at Aberdeenshire Council’s Area Committees, extensive consultation is now taking place.

“DECC’s anticipated consultation on the Renewables Obligation Certificates (ROCs) banding review will provide further opportunity to drive for system reform and stability for renewables. This will build upon the path laid out by the Government’s White Paper for Electricity Market Reform last month. It is vital that we achieve clarity to nurture market investment and push forward for a truly low-carbon economy.
