A National Environmental Training Institute would be established in the Central Environmental Authority (CEA) premises for environmental protection under the directive of Environment Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, said CEA Chairman Wimal Rubasinghe.
The new institute will be established using the available resources without making additional expenses. It will be used to create awareness on ongoing environment related activities and environmental protection. The consultation on training programmes will be provided by a staff comprised of university lecturers and experts representing other government agencies.
