Environmental Technology is a key strategic theme at Cranfield. We have been contributing to the green economy for over 40 years with deep expertise in environmental governance and sustainability, natural resource management, agriculture and land management, energy and the environment, environmental engineering for the treatment of water, wastes and contaminated soils and environmental health and food.

Our environmental technology research is practical, business and policy-focused, and delivered with an intent of impact for our clients and research partners.We delight in seeing our research used in practice, and conduct internationally renowned research into novel wastewater treatment, carbon loss from soils, utility infrastructures, food security and quality, risks from nanomaterials and indoor chemicals and on adaptation to climate change, among current themes. We price our work competitively with a view to offering best value for money, matching resources to need. Access to Government research funds, or joint industry collaboration where appropriate means we can often offer superb leverage on projects.
