Leading textile recycling organisation BIU Group has continued a long standing partnership with Francis House Children’s Hospice by taking part in the charity’s annual Festival of Trees.
The Festival of Trees is a stunning display of Christmas trees that have been decorated by well known national and local organisations in and around the Greater Manchester region. Organisations taking part include Manchester United Football Club, John Lewis and the Coronation Street cast and crew. All the trees are auctioned off at the end of the Festival to raise vital funds for Francis House – last year the auction raised £25,000.
BIU Group has been working with Francis House Children’s Hospice for over three years, and in that time has raised over £50,000 for the charity through textile recycling. There are now 50 dedicated Francis House recycling banks in Greater Manchester.
Francis House provides care for children and young adults with life threatening conditions. The Manchester based hospice works to help children with life threatening illnesses and provides the necessary support and short-term rest for their families.
Wendy Yarney, commercial manager at BIU Group commented, “We really enjoyed decorating the tree this year. BIU has a long standing partnership with Francis House and we are pleased to be supporting such a worthwhile cause. Francis House provides children and their families’ vital care and support. Without this kind of fundraising it would struggle to maintain the wonderful service it provides.”
The stylishly decorated black and white BIU Group Christmas tree is on display at the Lowry shopping outlet in Salford Quays until the 8th of December.
